The Yukidoke Project — from which Yukidoke Consulting has grown — has been supporting FOSS development by providing support and development resources for Free and Open Source software (FOSS), documentation, and project management without charge since 2001.
Yukidoke Consulting was established in 2002 by Benjamin "Mako" Hill to offer services and consulting to companies interested in developing Free and Open Source Software as a way of increasing the responsiveness of their software to their users and to free themselves from the limitations of proprietary software.
Yukidoke Consulting draws on Hill's more than a decade of experience in the Free and Open Source Software communities to harness development methods and software proven successful in the Free Software community and in businesses and non-profit organizations.
Led and staffed by Hill, Yukidoke Consulting is well connected to FOSS development communities and can mobilize additional competent and experienced resources where necessary. Other Yukidoke Project participants are also involved in the project.
Based in Seattle, Yukidoke consultants have done extensive work in Boston, Amherst, and Rome, Italy. On-site work requiring travel is always possible.
Benjamin Hill has more than a decade of experience using, developing, and supporting Free and Open Source Software. Detailed information can be found at:
